Gaming chair manufacturer Mavix has selected esports infrastructure company Nerd Street Gamers (NSG) as its first national partner.
The deal will see Mavix become the exclusive chair partner for NSG, all of its Localhost facilities, and its esports tournaments.
The two parties will collaborate on a range of activations, including influencer events, autograph signings, and demonstrations of its products. Nerd Street Gamers is Mavix’s second partner, joining Call of Duty League franchise OpTic Chicago.
John Fazio, CEO of Nerd Street Gamers, spoke on the partnership in a release: “Mavix’s expertly designed, highly-ergonomic gaming chairs will help further enhance every player’s experience at our facilities. Beyond the physical gaming infrastructure, this partnership presents a meaningful opportunity to align our companies’ missions in evolving the gaming industry by pushing the bar higher on quality equipment for gamers.”
Since raising $11.5m (∼£8.14m) in January, NSG has expanded its partnership with Riot Games, hired Donald Reilley as Vice President of Sales, and entered into a deal with Razer for its VALORANT Summer Championship taking place in August.
Tony Mazlish, CEO and Founder of Mavix, also commented: “With our focus on the future of gaming, we’re thrilled for the opportunity to be the exclusive chair partner for one of the leading, innovative esports organisations. Nerd Street continuously creates high-quality professional-grade opportunities and our team is looking forward to joining forces and enhancing these experiences for players.”
Esports Insider says: Since launching in late 2020, Mavix is slowly building a strong roster of partners thanks to this deal with Nerd Street Gamers. With a number of activations planned with NSG, the partnership looks to grow Mavix’s reputation within the esports sector.
