OverActive Media‘s Call of Duty League franchise Toronto Ultra has entered into an exclusive partnership with North American snack company Jack Link’s.
The deal will see the snack company become the ‘official meat partner’ of Toronto Ultra. Additionally, Jack Link’s will be featured on the franchise’s social media graphics alongside being the named partner of a tournament that will be broadcast on the Ultra’s YouTube channel.
Tyler Keenan, Vice President of Global Partnerships at Toronto Ultra, spoke on the deal in a release: “Our players are very excited about this announcement and our organisation is thrilled to welcome Jack Link’s into the Toronto Ultra partnership family.
“As brands prioritise digital audiences and activations, we continue to add premium global brands to our stable. We look forward to working with the team at Jack Link’s to further connect the Jack Link’s brand with our avid fanbase.”
Jack Link’s becomes the CDL franchise’s third partner, joining the likes of Universal Music Canada and internet service provider Bell.
This isn’t the first time Jack Link’s has entered the esports industry. In January 2021, the brand signed a multi-year deal with Fnatic, moreover, in October 2019 Jack Link’s inked a multi-year partnership with North American organisation Envy Gaming.
Michael Rakic, Vice President and General Manager of Jack Link’s Canada, also commented: “We at Jack Link’s Canada are thrilled to be partnering with the Toronto Ultra. We look forward to building unique and engaging programming for the gaming community, and we are especially excited to bring our Jerky Day tournament to gamers and jerky lovers across Canada.”
Esports Insider says: Having already entered the North American market with Envy Gaming, Jack Link’s expanding its foothold in the industry by partnering with Toronto Ultra is a smart decision as the brand looks to increase its presence throughout North America.
